Enjoy a meal at any of these three restaurants and a portion of the proceeds will help us to complete our new Community Senior Center!
Let’s give a warm welcome to our newest PatchWorks Nonprofit Neighbor, Gold County Senior Services (GCSS)! GCSS provides essential programs to meet the basic needs of older adults living in rural Nevada County.
How this works…
“GCSS’s Meals on Wheels and Senior Firewood programs exist because of our volunteers. Without them, we could not do what we do. Their generosity of time and talent helps older adults in our community live healthier, safer and more connected lives,” said Volunteer Manager Kristy Raihn.
PatchWorks volunteers can now earn discounts at the Patch when they volunteer with GCSS through their programs like the Senior Firewood program and Meals on Wheels.
“I am excited that we have this avenue of giving back each month to our volunteers that are also BriarPatch owners. I hope over time more of our volunteers will take advantage of this savings opportunity, where they can be the recipient of their generosity,” said Kristy.
